Mike is the assistant director of the McMaster Health Forum, an assistant professor (part-time) in the Department of Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and an investigator in the Program in Policy Decision-Making. Mike is also the scientist of health policy and knowledge transfer and exchange at the Ontario HIV Treatment Network. He obtained his PhD from McMaster University in the Health Research Methodology Program, holds a B.H.Sc. from McMaster and studied political science at the University of Toronto. His research is focused on supporting the use of research evidence in health systems with specific interest in community-based organizations and health system managers and policymakers.  Mike is also interested in research related to the politics of healthcare systems and the social determinants of health for people living with HIV/AIDS.
