Hsien Seow
Hsien Seow holds McMaster’s Cancer Care Ontario Research Chair in Health Services Research in the Department of Oncology. His research interests involve improving quality and the healthcare service delivery of palliative care for patients with cancer and other serious, chronic illnesses. Previously, he worked as a research assistant at RAND Health, with the Center for Palliative Care Studies, and was a teaching assistant at Johns Hopkins University. At RAND, he helped lead health services research, and local and national quality improvement collaborative and advocacy initiatives. He has also consulted with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Seow earned a B.Sc. from Yale University in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology and has a PhD in health policy and management from the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, concentrating in health services research. He has a certificate in gerontology.
